Placing your order is just the beginning. Once you've chosen your portrait and uploaded your photo, a carefully considered process begins — one designed to make sure you end up with a piece of art you truly love. Here's a step-by-step look at what happens after you order.

Step 1: Your Order Is Received

As soon as your order is placed, you'll receive a confirmation email. Your photo and any notes you've included are reviewed to make sure everything is in order. If there's anything that needs clarifying — such as a photo that might be too low in resolution — you'll be contacted promptly.

Step 2: Your Artist Gets to Work

Your portrait is created by hand, using your photo as a reference. The artist studies your pet's unique features — the shape of their eyes, the texture of their fur, their particular expression — and works to capture all of this in the chosen style. This is a careful, considered process that takes time and skill.

Step 3: You Review a Preview

Once the portrait is complete, you'll receive a preview image to review. This is your opportunity to request any changes — perhaps the colour feels slightly off, or you'd like the expression adjusted. We want you to be completely happy with the result before the final file is delivered.

Step 4: Revisions (If Needed)

If you'd like any tweaks, simply let us know. We'll make the requested changes and send you an updated preview. Most portraits are approved at this stage, but we're committed to getting it right.

Step 5: Your Final File Is Delivered

Once you're happy, your high-resolution digital file is sent to you — ready to download, print, and display. The file is suitable for printing at a range of sizes, from a small desk print to a large wall piece.

How Long Does It All Take?

Most portraits are completed within a few days of your order being placed. You'll always be kept informed of progress, and if you need your portrait by a specific date, just let us know when you order.
